Dime City, a fictitious American town in the last 30 years of the last century, is the scene of this business simulation in the gangster environment. With one of 4 companies you try to reach your aims – being governor and godfather of Dime City. With (bank-)raids, blackmails or prostitution you raise your money. With the money you can buy cars and people for your crime-activities, stocks or immovables. Worth mentioning are the sudden attacks to your competitors. These are little top-down action games.
The CHOICE.EXE in this archive is not an MSDOS exe, but a Windows executeable. It doesn't fail here in the browser (or is not used) but it silently fails

if you download and run "run.bat" in the Dosbox emulator yourself. Then the batch file is not executed properly. Fix: delete or rename CHOICE.EXE. Dosbox has it as internal command already. - This "run.bat" gives the selection to start the German version or an English test version. - The English test version doesn't show much and cannot be considered a game (only the menu is English). - The German version is incomplete because it misses all the CD-ROM resources (this title was only offically released as CD version of over 100MB) => many sound files are replaced and it crashes when trying to load speech sound. - "DIME.CFG" is not configured because it would be written by the installer which is not included here Fix: Replace the content of "DIME.CFG" with: LANGUAGE = GERMAN HARDDISKPATH = c:\dimecity\ MAINPATH = c:\dimecity\ PICPATH = c:\dimecity\ ANI1PATH = c:\dimecity\ ANI2PATH = c:\dimecity\ ANI3PATH = c:\dimecity\ ANI4PATH = c:\dimecity\ ANI5PATH = c:\dimecity\ MAPRESPATH = c:\dimecity\RES AKTPATH = c:\dimecity\RES MIDIPATH = c:\dimecity\SOUND\MIDI CUTWAVPATH = c:\dimecity\SOUND\CUTWAV SPEECHPATH = c:\dimecity\SOUND\SPEECH SAMPLEPATH = c:\dimecity\SOUND\SAMPLE CDROMPATH = c:\dimecity\
